The first tractor on the island was taken over by Thomas Griffiths, Nant some time around the mid 1940s. The gearbox and back axle are now buried in his old silage pit in front of Nant and Hendy. I think it is a 1920s Fordson F because of the spoke numbers on the spade lug wheels, short seat spring and poker-style gear lever.
