As the only boat trip service run from Aberdaron by local people, we have
over seventy years of experience of boat handling in Bardsey Sound between
us. Our family have been lobster fishermen
and Bardsey Island farmers for generations, and fishing remains important
to us today, though farming has now been replaced by lighthouse keeping
and boat trips. We still remain involved with farming the island, carrying
sheep, cattle and machinery back and forth….So if you want an informative,
friendly trip to remember, we’re the boys!
Bardsey Boat Trips is an offshoot of Mordaith Llyn Ltd, a company set up
by a local family. In addition to running boat trips, commercial fishing
and boat and machinery repairs, we have developed several new boat designs
in recent years, including a sectional landing craft and semi wave
piercing commercial fishing catamaran, the prototypes of which can be seen
operating from Aberdaron in 2007. *********** |
